JUST BECAUSE (Circa 2005-2006): Greg wrote songs with Robert Hunter for two stage plays written by Michael Mann. ‘JUST BECAUSE’ was a song that never made it to the stage, so to give it the honor it deserves, Scott and Greg rearranged it as a rock ‘n roll song.

WHISKY’S SWEETER THAN MILK: Greg wrote this song with Robert Hunter for John Lee Hooker’s last album. John died before he finished recording it. Greg and Scott thought it would be a perfect addition to this project and reworked this upbeat, catchy tune.

Greg Anton (drums) and Scott Guberman (keyboards) met a few years back when Scott relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area. Scott, loved Robert Hunter’s lyrics, and reached out to Greg to see if he had any unfinished songs that Hunter gave him lyrics to. Greg has co-written 33 songs with Hunter and knew he had a couple that had not been properly laid down so they started writing together. These friends also started playing in various live projects together and decided they liked the songs they wrote enough to record them...and The Anton/Guberman Project was born.
